Before you apply for financial aid, please review the
following information.
Have you completed the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA)?
All students seeking federal, and some state and institutional,
financial aid must complete this form. Click the FAFSA link to the
left if you wish to apply now. Information you have stored in My
CFNC will be used to help complete your FAFSA.
College aid award letters often include specific loans for your
consideration with instructions about how to apply. You should
always follow the procedures preferred by your college or
university.
Note: Before applying for a loan, you must first
submit the
FAFSA.

Before your loan application can be approved, we will request
certification from your college or university confirming your
eligibility for the loan amount requested.
Apply Online or Download a Form
The quickest way to submit a loan application is to complete the
application online and use an electronic signature (available for
Federal Loans). You may also choose to complete the application
online, then print, sign (in ink), and mail the
application/promissory note to CFI.
It is also possible to download most loan application/promissory
notes for printing at home. You may then use the paper version as a
work copy or as the original for you to complete and mail. Each loan
program that offers this option has a Download Form button
at the bottom of the loan's introductory description page. Click the
button to launch the application with your browser's Adobe Acrobat TM
plug-in.
Nondiscriminatory Policy
All student financial assistance is awarded on a nondiscriminatory
basis without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex,
marital status, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, age
(with the exception that borrowers must be at least 17 to enter into
loan contracts under North Carolina law), or any other protected
characteristics established by law. |
